Porte de Clichy

In April 2018, the new Paris Courthouse, a 160-meter glass tower by architect Renzo Piano, opened at Porte de Clichy. For several years, this working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Paris has been undergoing an urban metamorphosis. In the surrounding buildings, the inhabitants are living this transformation on a daily basis, between resignation, adaptation and aspirations. Through a back-and-forth game between intimate trajectories and the metamorphosis of the city, the film sketches moments in the lives of several of its inhabitants, drawing a portrait of a neighborhood at its turning point.

All the important members of the society, among them Seregély, a magician, are, at the same time, all "fathers" of Zsóka, daughter of a former colleague, who has been killed in an accident, and whom they then adopted.

A former child show host misses the good old days. He and his sidekick from the show are doing a gig when the place gets robbed and the sidekick murdered. The host is the only one who saw the robber well so the robber goes after him.

Nullarbor Dreaming

A record cave dive in Pannikin Plains Cave on the Nullarbor Plain, where flash floods turned the expedition into a life-or-death adventure. This was captured on film by his support team, and eventually published as Nullarbor Dreaming. This short film launched his career as an international film-maker and culminated in him becoming James Cameron's right-hand man on many 3D and other film projects. Sanctum was inspired by his Nullarbor experience

Nietos (Identidad y memoria)

Documentary about children stolen during Argentina's dictatorship that collects testimonies from kidnapped between 1976 and 1983. During these years, thousands of people were kidnapped and murdered with impunity. In many cases, the state appropriated the newborns of pregnant women at the time of his abduction. The disappearance of 500 children is one of the darkest legacies of this period. However, the tireless work of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo became possible that a hundred of these children were returned to their families.
