In 2015, Dagny Carlsson quickly garnered the attention of millions of Swedes when she started blogging for the first time at age 102. Now at age 106, wanting to experience as much as she can, she accepts an invitation from a Finnish film director who wants her to star in a short film. So, off to Åland she goes!

Life of a Mutt

Through seven scenes, the film follows the life and destinies of stray dogs from the margins of our society, leading us to reconsider our attitude towards them. Through the seven “wandering” characters that we follow at different ages, from birth to old age, we witness their dignified struggle for survival. At the cemetery, in an abandoned factory, in an asylum, in a landfill, in places full of sorrow, our heroes search for love and togetherness. By combining documentary material, animation and acting interpretation of the thoughts of our heroes, we get to know lives between disappointment and hope, quite similar to ours.

The cohabitation, highly valued by Julie, whose appreciation for the wife goes beyond simple admiration, is threatened when the husband, Manuel, confesses to her that he is in love with her and asks her to leave the house: he wants to protect his marriage and his feelings for her put him in danger. But Julie doesn't want to leave and is willing to go further than Manuel expects in order to continue living there...
