A young Polish-born, Berlin-based lawyer working on refugee cases is unexpectedly reunited with his father, who is his only tie left with his homeland.
This film finds Angélique in a North African Muslim kingdom where she is now part of the Sultan's harem. The first part of the film consist of her angrily refusing to be bedded as well as their trying to literally beat some sense into her. It all seems to go on too long and I was surprised that the Sultan simply didn't have her killed. Late in the film, she finally decides to escape with the help of two Christian prisoners.

As they arrive, it turns out that not only the villagers have never heard of Dolniker, but they have also never heard of running water, electricity, phones, and most importantly: TV, Radio, and newspapers... so its only a matter of time before Dolniker or the villagers go bananas...
A nonlinear, historical fiction account of a transmasculine classically trained clarinetist, husband, father, and friend who might have existed. Mark’s personal documents were obsessively produced, constructed, and archived in a hopeful attempt to prove that he was here. Mark is composed as a symphony, comprising a chorus of voices depicting Mark simultaneously, each character representing a movement. We never get to meet Mark, though, and we never hear his point of view. By the time we gain access to his story, he has passed away. Mark points to the systematic erasure of trans history and works to rectify this. Mark existed. Marks were made. Marks were found.

A look at Karl Hess, libertarian intellectual and activist, from his background as a magazine editor in his youth to his work as a Republican speechwriter, as he became simultaneously a writer for Barry Goldwater and a member of Students for a Democratic Society. In the late 1960s he embarked on a new period in his life, moving to rural West Virginia and becoming involved in movements promoting alternative technologies and renewable energy. He discusses his views opposing large institutions, ranging from government to corporations to universities.
Mr. Taschenbier, who had previously led a rather unremarkable and monotonous life, becomes suspicious when a big thunderstorm suddenly appears on Thursday. In fact, he encounters a creature that none of the other passers-by can make sense of. Only he logically suspects that it must be a "Sams".
