Extirpator of Idolatries

The police detective Waldo, of immersed and circumspect disposition and temper, investigates several crimes associated with indigenous rituals that occur in some regions of the Peruvian Andes. There we find a boy and a girl who are about to enter puberty and begin to interact with certain mythical beings, a supernatural belief very common in many Andean villages. A sinister character, pretending to be on a mission of faith, but imbued with religious dogmatism and intolerance, interrupts this peaceful scene as he casts an ominous shadow over these ancient Peruvian beliefs. Although Waldo's boss considers him inferior and distrusts his methods (a form of discrimination), the policeman continues his efforts to capture the "Extirpator of Idolatries.¨ At the same time, Waldo will resolve his own inner conflict which has troubled him all his life.

Destination Mars!

As killer robots descend from the sky, a hapless police officer is abducted by a UFO and a young couple finds their romantic picnic rudely interrupted by the shiny metallic invaders. Though a doomsday weapon of unimaginable power may be mankind's only defense against the powerful invaders, it could also spell the end for the human race as we know it.

They won a three-year agreement with Nalan Yanran, the big disciple of the Yunlan Sect. When they arrived at the Tagore Desert, Qing Lin was unexpectedly abducted. In order to find Qing Lin, Xiao Yan and the others met the once-famous Ice Emperor Haibodong and then traveled to the Red Salt City. In the chaotic city, a black hand slowly revealed its true identity, intending to capture them all. Through Xiao Yan's persistent efforts, the truth about his mother's death during his childhood was gradually revealed.

La Vanessa was the organiser of the first gay rights march in Chiapas State, Mexico. Four years after her murder in 1992, this study of mexican transvestite culture documents a period of fear marked by 29 brutal murders. It originally aired in '96 as part of Channel 4's Latino Nights line-up ("a season of programmes from and about Latin America"), and--aside from showing up at a few niche trans-festivals here and there--seems to have disappeared altogether after that.
