Packed In A Trunk: The Lost Art of Edith Lake Wilkinson

The story of artist Edith Lake Wilkinson, a painter who was committed to an asylum in 1924 and never heard from again. All her worldly possessions were packed into trunks and shipped to a relative in West Virginia where they sat in an attic for 40 years. Edith's great-niece, Emmy Award winning writer and director Jane Anderson, grew up surrounded by Edith's paintings, thanks to her mother who had gone poking through that dusty attic and rescued Edith's work. The film follows Jane in her decades-long journey to find the answers to the mystery of Edith's buried life, return the work to Provincetown and have Edith's contributions recognized by the larger art world.

With music by The Cardboards, The Shakes, Hans Brinker and The Dykes. By combining semi-fictionalized and documentary material, this film is as definitive a record of the Pittsburgh punk scene during its nascent underground as anyone could hope for. Beroes' band footage is radical departure from the gimmickry of stereotyped rock band documentary in its use of pans and slow dollys, capturing small glimpses of the musicians at work that a 'PR' film would have avoided at all costs. The cinematography demands a reconsideration of the rock band documentary's hoary technical vocabulary. From the time this film was made changes have already taken place in Pittsburgh punk-dom as the bands have moved from an insular salon society to more 'legitimate' venues. Some say things are better than ever, others mourn the passing of Pittsburgh punk's innocence. Beroes in Debt Begins at 20 has produced not only entertainment, but also a small and very precious time capsule.

When he meets fresh-off-the-boat Mainland girl Chung (Lau), his affluent and materialistic lifestyle dazzles her. Right then she decides: she'll become a prostitute, and who better to school her in the world's oldest profession than Sam, Hong Kong's most successful gigolo! Sam schools Chung on how to dress, act, pick up potential marks and - when it's required - embellish her appreciation of a man's sexual prowess! But will the teacher eventually fall for his pupil? Though the premise sounds somewhat sleazy, Gigolo and Whore looks past its politically-incorrect subject matter to become a funny and even romantic comedy about two displaced individuals who find a connection in fast-paced, cosmopolitan Hong Kong.

Mahender has been responsible for the upbringing of Tomato, a young child at a very early age. Now Mahender's health is getting worse, and he is afraid his ill-health may be contagious and may endanger Tomato. So Mahender decides to leave Tomato in the park near Kamal Roy, and instructs Tomato to call Kamal his dad. Tomato does so, and this results in utter chaos in the life of Kamal. He is unable to convince his lady love Usha Sen that the child is not his; and additionally Kamal is under pressure from his dad and mom to get married. Kamal begs Tomato to leave him, but Tomato refuses to do so. How will this impact on Kamal's life and relationships?
